Atresmedia has presented ‘Alba’ at it’s recent event; the Spanish adaptation of the hit ‘Fatmagül‘, the Turkish soap opera that Nova aired and which paved the way for Ottoman fiction in our country. After its premiere on Atresplayer Premium in March last year, the series is now pending its premiere on Antena 3’s Prime Time.
“It is a very powerful story and with the open premiere we believe it will reach a lot of people“, stated Montse García, the group’s fiction director. The series tells the story of a young woman, Alba (Elena Rivera), who after returning to her home town for the holidays, goes out for a promising night of partying but which unexpectedly turns into her worst nightmare as a group of boys sexually assault her. The next day, she wakes up naked on the beach.
“Alba is a woman who fights for justice to practically recover her life. It is important to understand that it is a series about strong women“, said the director about this thirteen-episode fiction: its cast includes Eric Masip, Caterina Mengs, Adriana Ozores, Álvaro Rico, Pol Hermoso, Jason Fernández, Beatriz Segura, Miquel Fernández, Tito Valverde and Ana Wagener.
The script was written by Irma Correa, Susana López, Javier Holgado, Carlos Vila, in coordination with Carlos Martín and Ignasi Rubio. The series, produced by Boomerang, has been directed by Pablo Guerrero, Carlota Martínez-Pereda and Humberto Miró.
